Missionaries Walker
and Haley Schurz are the founders and directors of Africa Outreach. They have
lived and ministered in Southern Africa since 1994. The ministry is strategically
based in Lusaka, Zambia and extends to many of the surrounding nations such as
South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique. God has blessed them with a great ministry
team to reach the estimated 90% of pastors in Southern Africa who have not had
any formal Bible training. As the church grows wider in Africa, it must also grow
deeper.
We
see thousands of mature African pastors and leaders established in God’s
love, who understand their identity in Christ and who walk in strong faith...
As we started to travel to Zambia in 2000, we would pass a small town on the way to Lusaka.
In 2003, God stirred our hearts as we drove through to have a conference for pastors there.

Looking back on my life in ministry and observing the lives of other leaders, I see
many common problems. One is that many with a true mandate and anointing from God seem stressed and overworked.
